Bucket Truck Safety and Operations
This course teaches students the ability to operate a bucket truck safely and efficiently under the Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and ANSI A92 standard. The course covers OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards over the various types of Bucket Trucks and teaches the operator Safe Operating Practices of the vehicle. Students will become familiar with any Associated Hazards that may be present during setup and operational periods. The importance of securing and establishing proper Work Zones to aid in the Stability and proper use of correct Fall Protection is also a pillar in this course. The student will also learn Manufacturer Specific Requirements on Fueling, Inspections and Maintenance of your company’s Bucket Truck. The operator will gain skills through classroom and hands-on practical’s and Operators will be evaluated on each Class and Model of personnel lift to be operated.
Fall Protection
Fork Truck Safety and Operations
This course is crucial to ensure safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks in the General Industry setting as set forth by the OSHA and ANSI Standards. In this course the students will explore the different types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach trucks, pallet jacks) and learn about their key components, controls, and load capacities. The students will master safe driving practices, including turning, stopping, and maneuvering in tight spaces, understand the importance of maintaining stability during lifting and lowering operations and address common hazards such as tip-overs, collisions, and pedestrian interactions. The students will learn load handling and stacking techniques, Inspections and Maintenance, Safety Rules and Regulations and Emergency Procedures. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certification valid for three years.
Train-the-Trainer Program
In this program the trainers will become efficient in EGIS’s program delivery, gaining effective training techniques by learning Best Practices for engaging learners and managing diverse audiences. They will also master methods to assess trainee performances, provide constructive feedback and adapt training styles to meet their trainees’ learning style. The Trainer will also be responsible in ensuring alignment with EGIS’s high-quality standards and maintain consistency across all training sessions they are certified in. In this course, Trainers are evaluated as they present a portion of the program, they are certified in, to their peers in the class.
Upon completion, participants must teach a minimum of two certifying classes per year and return annually for a one-day Train-the-Trainer refresher class. The Train-the-Trainer will then receive a copy of all necessary documentation to complete a course, including EGIS’s PowerPoints, competency evaluations, tests and answers and Instructor evaluation forms.
